Nintendo 3DS

Since the announcement of the PlayStation Move, Sony have been aggressively putting other consoles down. First targeting the motion control of the Wii and Project Natal, now their Director of Hardware and Marketing, Joe Koller, has questioned Nintendo’s announcement of the 3DS. He stated that he is unsure if there is a market for 3D games with Nintendo’s younger audience. He admitted that it still remains to be seen where Nintendo is going with the 3DS but claims that given their research, 3D for 8 and 9 year olds seems to be a bit of a stretch.

This seems quite an unusual thing to say given the popularity of 3D animated films from Disney amongst others.

Koller also said they are only focusing on 3D in home consoles right now. So no 3D PSP on the horizon.
